Our MISSION

Biershenk Golf empowers kids through a fun, supportive community focused on mentorship, character development, and personal growth. With the help of local sponsors and community partners, we remove financial barriers by covering equipment, instruction, tournament fees, and more – making the game accessible to every child.

Beyond improving skills on the course, our mission is to provide consistent guidance, confidence, and life lessons that help shape successful futures both in golf and beyond.

Meet Tommy

FOUNDER

Born and raised in Spartanburg, SC – Tommy’s been swinging a golf club since age five and hasn’t stopped since. He racked up wins as a junior golfer, including the South Carolina Amateur Championship as a teenager, then played on a full scholarship at Clemson before turning pro.

His career took him from the Korn Ferry Tour to the PGA Tour, with highlights like competing in the 2012 U.S. Open and winning on multiple professional tours. Off the course, he’s owned golf clubs, started a foundation for underprivileged kids, and even appeared on Golf Channel shows Chasing the Dream and Shotmakers.

WHAT DRIVES US

At Biershenk Golf, we believe the game of golf is a doorway to discipline, confidence, and a future. We identify and support underprivileged youth in our community – teaching them not just how to play, but how to compete, how to carry themselves, and how to win at life. With the help of local sponsors and community partners, we remove financial barriers by covering equipment, instruction, tournament fees, and more.

  • Biershenk Golf gives youth the instruction, practice, and mentorship needed to grow their skills on the course. Through hands-on coaching and real playing opportunities, kids gain confidence in their game while developing a lifelong passion for golf.

  • Biershenk Golf utilizes the game of golf to teach youth valuable life lessons such as discipline, perseverance, respect, and confidence. Through mentorship and guidance, kids learn skills that prepare them for success both on and off the golf course.
